Getting To Know You Activities
Obviously, at the start of term or with a new class we want to create a good atmosphere and encourage rapport.
Engaging the students with a topic / Introducing a topic
For example, you're planning to study dependent prepositions. Not very thrilling, eh? Well, with the right warmer, almost any topic can be transformed into something thrilling (or at least made a little more exciting).
Reviewing a previous lesson
Maybe you want to revise some of yesterday's vocabulary or grammar while you wait for latecomers to arrive.
Just To Warm People Up
My classroom is freezing in summer (but boiling in winter!). Sometimes you just need to give students energy and warm them up.
