Common Spanish Mistakes

For over 10 years, I've had lots of Spanish students in my classes (and I've learned lots of rude Spanish words from you all!!!). While everyone is very different, a lot of the mistakes Spanish students make when they are speaking are very similar.

And the most annoying thing is, no matter how often I correct you all, you just say "oh yes" and continue talking!!! You have to start thinking about your own mistakes and trying to stop making them.

So, here is a list of the most common (and also very simple) mistakes which my Spanish students make.

Spanglish English
Is difficult It 's difficult.
No is difficult. It isn't difficult.
Always he is late. He is always late.
I love the parties. I love parties.
Yes, I like. Yes, I like it.

If you can just stop making these mistakes, your English will sound so much better.

I have prepared a beautiful handout to explain these mistakes, and also the most common pronunciation problems.
