ILT related activities
QuizBusters Quiz Generator This creates beautiful, professional looking blockbusters quizzes to play online. Use them in the classroom, or add them to your VLE (virtual learning environment).
ESL activities Various activities to choose from, including a free crossword creator.
Tarsia: A free programme to download which will let you make dominoes/jigsaw type puzzles as handouts for your students. It's aimed at maths teachers, but also works for language. My favourite is the pyramid puzzle.
Teach-This This website has saved me on a number of occasions. There are handouts organised by topic and by level, and I love that you don't have to login or remember a password.
English Banana.com - 750+ Free Printable Worksheets for Better English Lessons Again, you don't have to login which is lovely if your memory is like mine!

An A-Z of ELT This blog is by Scott Thornbury and is absolutely fascinating for both new teachers and those with more experience. It sounds like he's planning to close down this blog soon, so have a look and make notes while it's still there!

Future Learn This website has a huge range of free online courses from top universities. I've followed courses in studying for the IELTS exam and how to teach students with dyslexia - I just wish I had time to sign up for more.
